i recently opened a thread at www.occultforums.com on runes....

i don't think i am going to join the second voyage of the chaos crew at MLA...but i AM planning to focus a bit more and take Freya Aswynn's course on runes.

am curious if anyone here has?

in a sense, this course transends and engulfs "chaos" ... i think there are 12 courses altogether. about $25 a piece...

anyways, i'd like to open this thread/space for any runic discussions.

wassail and hail

Stepping down from the meta-paradigmal level I have chosen the rune-system too.I'm reading Thorsson's first book for now, together with various basic CM books. I could be interested if you tell more...

go to http://www.aswynn.co.uk/

she is, in my opinion, one of the foundational pillars (esp. the feminine mysteries side of it) of the runic revival. a true vessel.
true to folk-soul magic...and wonderfully anti-"nazi nutter"....... Evil

i just got the first installment...there are twelve i think. $25 a piece. not bad.......could take a year.....or a decade......

I can definately recommend "Hel-Runar" by Jan Fries (His website here). Hel-Runar has some really interesting cultural and chaos-magick perspectives on rune and rune-working (focused around the elder futhark as a base but exploring cave and item etchings from ice-age era Tuscany to all over the world). He also mentions Pete's work, and Spare, and suggest experimenting with Spare sigilization method with the futhark once it has been embraced as a method of 2nd order-of-abstraction ensigilization. Also has bodily postural meditations for each rune, and Mantra/Sound keyes for each as well (based around the five vowel-sounds basing on 5 chakra points).

yes, Hel-Runar is still his finest work to me. i have the Seidr book as well, but this one is truly one to recommend. one of the best rune books to own.
