creative regression perhaps.....for the sake of argument.......

but how does everyone approach, mesh with THIS term?

seeing this thread, i was wondering how one would "siphon" off servitors or servitor-manufacturing components...from, say:

sigils

runes (especially bind-runes)

etc

is this a matter of (meta)psychology....i.e., "sleight-of-mind"?

is it all a matter of will? of knowing what one wants? of having a purpose? of keeping maximal/optional forces at play?

is this greedy? not the immoral greedy, but the inefficient "greedy" ? ?

i still have a hard time believing in servitors. this hasnt stopped me from doing experiments with the concept. in fact recently i devised a servitor called sid ginfo, whos job deals with wealth (both psychological and material). i based his character on the knight of discs. i think rather than syphon off sigils and runes i incorporate them. i sort of see servitors as the renissance man to the idiot sevant of the sigil.

what do you mean by "insufficient greedy?"

I think I might define a servitor as a sigil that thinks for itself and can act again and again, or maybe an egregore egg depending on my perspective at the time.

what do you mean by "insufficient greedy?"

you may have misread....

i was pointing towards an "inEFFICIENT" greediness.....and that meant that some of us may go blindly into will, thinking we w-a-n-t some "money" (for example......)

...........and that in itself isn't "bad" but quite too general..............and unEXPLORED.....

what IS money, value, need, etc? ? ?........all of that needs to be understood inside and out.

and of course it is personal, unique to each situation........

so, that's what i meant. or really, not what i MEANT, but what vagueness i was trying to efficiently point out...................... Lips Sealed

very well put. its funny how a "su" in place of an "e" creates an entirely different scene. i have struggled with this very aspect of intention/will and am currently radically redifining my definition of "wealth"/money conciousness/investment.

yeah, zach///same here.................and funny, in that i can admit to being quite developed and evolved in many ways.....but there are some basics that i know i am stumbling on, fumbling with.............

there is a theoretical will.........and to me to maintain that would take throwing myself into some deep flagellant practices..... Embarrassed. but i prefer a kinder, more razor sharp (and metaphorical) methode de  l'air........

yeah, an ether whip

Interesting question.....

I recognize 2  kinds of servitors...

1) Those that I take from the Bardon paradigma and who are constructed from the elementals.
They act on their own have the energy from the elements , but have their thoughts and life through me.
If I want those to live longer and to be powerful I give them a house of their own.

2) Those that I consider as subpersonalities and who I consider being under the personality folder magician.
I consider the last as appearing in my personality at times and also being made from my personal energy.
They act and think on their own like all  personalities.
If I don't want them to appear in my personality, I give them a physical house on their own.

3) I consider a sigil  not as servitor but more as a gate in the maze that I claim as mine , a gate that acts as attractor and facilitator and at times as magical spell.  With other words I don't make it really, but I discover it being there by making it.
when do I know that I have discovered it. So far when it works.
I hope that I get to phase two: Creating a gate or cutting it into the maze of collective mind.

4) I consider an egregore a mindtree in the collective mind  that I mentally join and from which I gather fruits as well.
It is older then me and will live longer then I do.  I defend it and nourish it and work for it.  The people that belong to the egregore are my egregore brother and sisters. I am talking here about egregores  that offer initiations.

Naturally all  kinds of egregores can be joined simply by participating in them.
