Whoa, I didn't realize I had been invoked. I read TheIdeosphere in a random and discontinous way, but since tonight I will go for money ritual for a friend I just wondered here to acquire hearsays.
This little magician is not practically expert in the field of Money magick (or you need Wealth?) except for some coincidencies brought forth by official sponsor Staphodis Veldwer.
On the otherside I'm studying "money consciousness" (from Liber Kaos paradigm) to get ready for the next hoped stage of my life.
I state a big difference between practicing for "sums of money" and for "pure money".
The first way reduces to simple enchantment, with succes probability inversely proportional to the asked sum, of course.
Since at the present my basic needings are covered by family (and keep it in mind when evaluating my opinion!) I have never had a crisis needing for this. When I'll have cut money binding with family it'll be another matter.
Sometimes, anyway, I think about the "money from nothing" matter and, eventually, the "big one" lottery enchantment. But I'm in a very embrional stage.
Very different is the second way. Someone says if you wanna make money you have not to "pursue money, but run TOWARD it".
I translate it with a state of mind in wich you perceive the world perpetually considering "how can I convert this thing in money flow (FLOW) ?". It's not a matter of hard work, it' a matter of placing yourself in the stategic places of the flow and redirect part of it in your pockets. Magically speaking these places are more fluid in probability and ready to enchantment.
Samples of this are intermediator (better if of an indespensable nature) or seller of goods to the final consumer.
For this last choice I suggest selling something superfluous and/or with an high degree of obsolescence, for the target is more ready to give away money. Intelligent advertising (better if coupled with good salesmanship) becomes essential. I'm quite experienced in this so you may private message me if you need.
A good trick to enter money consciousness is to become the leader of a team and give them good rewards (where the reward is intended to be money, not products!).
This said, I cannot help expressing my fondness for the purest form of money flow: stock market. If you manage to delve into this you'll find yourself handling money without even touching it, so literally growing money from noting (if you're good enough).
On the other side you'll need much effort to learn how it works, a big sum of initial capital (otherwise you won't go far, alas), to realize you'll be continuously under stress, and, I'm sure you already know, if you can't play you lose HARD.
As I perceive it, the stock market is a high magical place. Grant Morrison gave seminars of Chaos Magic applied to it.
Whatever your decision, there is a dark side. Making money requires you to ignore the fact that money (flow) itself is responsible for most of humanity diseases. Superfluous goods are expensive in vital resources terms, and most of stock maket companies have skeletons in their wardrobes. These things are related to the banishing of negative feelings towards money that Liber Kaos tells about.
