In The Paradigmal Pirate, Joshua Wetzel made a distinction between eclectic and systematic chaos magicians. Eclectic chaos magicians tend to make their own creations out of multiple paradigms and their own experimentation, while systematic chaos magicians go after one paradigm at a time, and are often indistinguishable from a true believer in that paradigm.

So, which end of the spectrum do you tend to fall on the most?

Personally, I prefer the systematic approach, with a dash of eclecticism thrown in for flavor.

Eclectic here, I keep what has been working rather than relinquish for sake of purity of the most recent paradigm being explored. I think my Hoodoo/New Thought/Hermeticism/Zen/Satanist/Christian/Sufi/Topy paradigm is coming along quite nicely. Grin
