While considering some concepts that ISIS helped plant in my feeble ol' brain, I thought of this (and it'll be quick):

On the MLA-CM forum, I mentioned Invocation before Evocation, as a way to utilize and communicate with the god-form to create an appropriate servitor. I think I used the example of invoking Chango in order to bind and Name a storm-jaggerling (ifrit, elemental, what-have-you). I realize that the extended state of gnosis nessecary for Invocation, and then subsequent Evokation would stir up a large ammount of energy (psychological, metaphysical, you decide) with which to charge a servitor upon creation. I also see the use of Invoking at a later time to interact with said servitor.

My question for all you wonderful CMages:

What would be the benefits (and drawbacks?) of allowing a created servitor to contact and petition God-forms for energy/assistance?
I mean, on it's own, when it determines (and scripted instructions allow) that the action would proove beneficial to it's task.

Could this become self-automated, i.e. could you build instructions for doing so into the entity?

I will also stress the importance of clearing this communication channel with the God-form you'd like to work with, as some random dreamling showing up demanding attention may provoke anything from outright dismissal to annoyance to wrathful backlash.

I would want input from those more experience with Invo/evo-Kation before fleshing the idea out and actually attempting an experiment.

Just some thoughts.......

See what you mean. This hasn't been done yet, I think. I haven't done it in any case.
Thinking again: my energybuddy claims he has one of those since the age of 8.
He is fine so far.
But I don't see why it shouldn't work, as sun shines on the moon too,
and you cannot look directly into the sun, or stay in it too long, without protection.

So this is what rises:
sun= god/goddess = superego
moon= servitor = bridge
earth = you =  consciousness/subconscious

I see invocation as attempts of standing in radiation of certain energysources directly.
You take a dose at times, but you are careful not to overdo it, your nervous system
might get burned. You want a jolt, not an electrocution.
In this case I think divination might be fruitfull: Does your subby like the idea.
If you believe in a HGA, does he like the idea.
If not, ask if servitor can draw from HGA, instead of gods.
In any case I would write instructions here more specific for the servitor and think twice about which godform
and what task.
Worst that can happen?
Your servitor blows up?
Meaning I would create a physical house for that kind of servitor, probably with coils to discharge an overflow of energy.
Wouldn't like to house that kind of servitor in my mental space.
Your servitor becomes a clone of that god/goddess and gets ideas and demands your service?
Prevents you from evoking other gods. You become a fundamentalist of you only know what.
Build barriers. I think you already said so.

No more ideas... I'm off, I still haven't figured out how to build a servitor for roomservice.
Besides I have to store the zips and find the code for promised programs.

I've begun to see servitors a bit differently now that I've been around them more. My thinking goes this way for the moment. A servitor doesn't have to be aware or alive in the manner of the more complex servitors. Some aethereal objects seem to be much simpler. Maybe another word fits better than servitor for objects like aethereal mirrors or aethereal nets and choasattelites, chaomines and such, but we've used "servitor" for these in the past.

So what about a servitor in the form of an olive tree dedicated to Athena? Her favorite tree and most famous gift would seem a pretty agreeable way channel her power. Her influence could fill the tree with ripened fruit full of energy on which your work-a-day servitors could feast, maybe making some sort of compensatory offering to Athena at the do so.

The risk here seems to me that the servitors might begin to serve Athena more than the magician.

Other examples might include:
A cornucopia filled by Zeus
A fire fed by Ishtar
A shinning trapezohedron burning with the inchoate radiance of Azathoth
And, of course, a tree of the Hesperides filled with golden apples nurtured by Eris and protected by a nice big dragon covered in hero repellant.
